Walton Heath has an active and friendly Ladies section. A mixture of medals, stablefords, foursomes and fun competitions are held on Mondays (Ladies' Day) and at the weekends. We participate in scratch and handicap Surrey competitions such as the Hicks Trophy, Centenary Bowl, Derry Cup and the Interclub Foursomes. We also have a successful Pearson Trophy team.
Started in 2016, the aim of the Ladies Academy is to introduce ladies to the game of golf at Walton Heath, so that they can apply to join the Club in the future. To read more about the Academy please click HERE. If you would like to find out more or make an enquiry about how to join the Academy, please contact Jemma Overing jovering@waltonheath.com.
We are also delighted to announce we have signed up to be the first Club in Surrey to be part of the R&A's 'Women in Golf' Charter. We hope to encourage and inspire families to take part in golf and enjoy the sport as a leisure activity together. The aim of the Charter is to develop a range of initiatives designed to encourage more women and girls to play golf and stay within the sport as members of clubs as well as inspire a new generation of women and girls in golf. Please click HERE to read the full charter.
Our Ladies section host and attend a varety of informal and social golf events which include dinners, informal dining evenings, themed events, family and social golf, weekly ladies roll ups and stablefords, Ladies Invitation days, putting competitions and many more including the planned introduction of an under 35's event calendar, hopefully to be rolled out for 2020. The Ladies also play a full part within the Club and help with the US Open Qualifying and the Walton Heath Trophy each year.
